Sia Antunes has been with The Lisa Ekus Group (TLEG) since completing a dual
degree in Non-Fiction Writing and Anthropology of Food at Hampshire College. As
Literary and Public Relations Associate Sia maintains media lists, agenting records, and website content,
and handles various writing and research projects. She is dedicated to communication and to crafting clear
and graceful prose. She has worked in professional kitchens, on organic farms, and as a research assistant
to the author of Banana: The Fate of the Fruit That Changed the World (Hudson Street Press, Dec. 2007).
Sia dances, reads (anything!) and enjoys feeding friends at home with her wonderful fiancé.
Sarah Baurle joined the TLEG team in 2006 after working four years at Wimmer
Cookbooks. As Media Relations Specialist, Sarah assists with numerous PR
projects and new business initiatives. An English major and culinary school graduate, Sarah has always
sought a career in words and food. The native of East Tennessee claims the TLEG staff is "the sweetest
bunch'a Yankees I've met." When not at work, Sarah is surely spending time with husband, Eric, and their
fairly-well-behaved yellow lab, Bailey.
Jeanine Dargis had just collected her diploma from Hampshire College when she
joined the TLEG team in June 2006. In her role as Office Administrator,
Jeanine juggles a variety of tasks, including bookkeeping, writing contracts, design work, and keeping the
office running smoothly while Lisa is out conquering the world. When she's not playing pool, going to rock
shows, cooking, or playing awesome music on WMUA, the local radio station, Jeanine - who received her
degree in photography - tries to spend as much time with her camera as possible. Her website is
www.teenytinypress.net.
Jane Falla has worked at TLEG since 2002. As Literary Associate,
she reviews submissions, answers queries, assists in proposal development, communicates with editors,
and informs clients about the agenting process. Jane has more than 14 years of editing and writing
experience, primarily from senior editor positions at several computer trade journals such as PCWorld
Australia, RS/Magazine, and E-Business Advisor, for whom she reported on business and technology and
directed editorial content. She extended her writing experience to town reporting and feature writing
for newspapers in Vermont and Maine, including writing restaurant reviews for the Portland Press Herald.
She has sought opportunities to combine her love of food and cooking with her love of words and reading,
and has enjoyed becoming fully immersed in the world of cookbooks.
