Hot on the heels of her highly successful first cookbook, Carlyn Berghoff (with Nancy Ross Ryan) now shares a new collection of classic dishes from the café founded by her great-grandfather more than 110 years ago. The 80 delicious recipes plus creative variations in THE BERGHOFF CAFÉ COOKBOOK represent the full range of the café's food, from soups, salads, and sandwiches to pizzas and desserts. These recipes are easy to prepare, look good on the plate, and deliver the flavors from the fourth-generation Chicago institution. Recipes include Pizza with Swiss Cheese and Caraway Crust, Fresh Baked Pretzels, Berghoff Spaetzle, and Cream Cheese-Almond Coffee Cake.
